WordPress, TV Series, music, kids, and board games. I think that’s probably the best way to define me in a few words. 🙂

I work at Automattic where I lead a team building tools for bloggers and creators. I talk a lot about WordPress things, but also about all things open source in general.

I post in English and in French.

I live in Brittany, France, so you’ll also find me sharing pictures from our beautiful region from time to time.

@rickscully @pfefferle This is perhaps also true for me. I want @colin to be my universal handle for Mastodon… but I don't think my WordPress install is the best place to do that. I should probably have my own Mastodon instance? Too many moving parts.

I would recommend against setting up your own Mastodon instance. Mastodon is really resource-heavy for a single account. There are now quite a few alternatives out there, much lighter and with about the same features as Mastodon. GoToSocial is a great example of that.

WordPress can be your home on the Fediverse (I’m replying to you from my WordPress site), but it’s not yet as feature-full as tools like Mastodon or GoToSocial. I cannot participate in polls for example.

But I’m sure we’ll get there one day 🙂
