This second season sometimes reminds me of Better Call Saul.
There is a lot of focus on photography, on the perfect shot, the beautiful camera pan, the clever lighting, the background sounds like the neon lights or the train station doors. It makes for beautiful shots. And it is one of the reasons I like the show. But that cannot be just it. The story must move forward. If it doesn’t, after a few episodes that eerie uncomfortable feeling of being in the innie’s skin fades away, and is replaced by frustration. A few zingers and good dialogs are no longer enough to keep me wanting more.
At this point maybe all I need is a good finale is all I need to forget that frustration and get back into the story…
We’ll see tomorrow! 🙂
