I’d like to have your opinion on post URLs. Since my Fediverse software of choice is the ActivityPub plugin for WordPress I have more flexibility than most. Do you think I should:

  • Try to replicate URL structures commonly found on the Fediverse or on other Social Networks, like herve.bzh/@jeremy/uniqueid or herve.bzh/@jeremy/status/uniqueid ?
  • Use a common WordPress permalink structure like herve.bzh/postname or herve.bzh/date/postname?
  • Throw it all out the window and come up with something else? This is what I do today with herve.bzh/date-uniqueid

Do you like to focus on small details and agonize over it for days? High-five! 😅
