It’s hard to believe I haven’t posted about Battlestar Galactica on this blog yet. It is one of my favorite TV Shows, and I love the soundtrack. I often listen to the whole Season 3 OST on loop, for the whole day.
I could pick just about any of the 21 tracks on that album, but I suppose it’s only logical for me to share the lead up to the last song, All Along The Watchtower:
It’s a great take on Bob Dylan’s epic song, and it captures a lot of the soundtrack’s (and the show’s) characteristics: strong, mystical, a lot of instruments, a lot of bass. It’s also the Final Five’s theme song! I still get goosebumps when I watch that scene. Not everyone liked the final turn of the show, but I personally loved it!
If you like Bear McCreary’s work with that soundtrack, you’ll most likely like his work on other shows, like The Walking Dead or my new favorite, Outlander.
