That’s me. And my blog. In English and in French.

DO NOT download WordPress themes from untrusted sources

As WordPress is geting more and more popular, there are more and more people out there ready to take advantage of the situation and propose you free products, however these free products are not always what they seem. With the popularity increase of Premium theme markets, these shady websites can be found more and more easily, and end users end up using themes with encrypted code in them.

So please, and I am here relaying the info published on themelab.com and wpengineer.com recently, DO NOT download WordPress themes from untrusted sources. Leland posted lots of solutions and demonstrated pretty well how dangerous it can be to trust in such websites, so do not hesitate to go have a look at his post, it could avoid you lots of issues in the future!

Thanks Jeremy for spreading the word about this. The more people who know about it, the better in my opinion.

I completely agree with you on this. Hopefully if more and more bloggers can spread the word, something can be done about it…

WordPress, TV Series, music, kids, and board games. I think that’s probably the best way to define me in a few words. 🙂

I work at Automattic where I lead a team building tools for bloggers and creators. I talk a lot about WordPress things, but also about all things open source in general.

I post in English and in French.

I live in Brittany, France, so you’ll also find me sharing pictures from our beautiful region from time to time.
